Coffee With A Curator

Enjoy a casual coffee reception and tour of A Cultural Legacy: Selected Works from the Parker B. Poe Collection. Mr. and Mrs. Parker B. Poe shared an appreciation for art depicting the culture and lifestyle that they enjoyed in South Georgia, but their personal collections were very different. This curator-led tour will cast light on Mr. Poe’s eclectic tastes, his patronage to a broad art community, and his philanthropy towards the cultural resources of Thomasville, Georgia. Grassroots Coffee will be on the Front Porch of the Main House at 10:00 a.m., followed by a guided tour at 10:30 a.m. The Parker B. Poe Collection is on loan from the Thomasville Center for the Arts.
