SUMMARY:TU Military Football Homecoming
DESCRIPTION:8 a.m. Saturday will be the second annual 'Geeks vs. Guardians' 5k run. The run celebrates veterans' day and promotes the synergy of TU academics and the military. This year\, the race will include not only veterans from the surrounding area\, but a number of National Guard members. At 10:30\, a variety of events will be available to the general public at Veteran's Memorial Stadium including:   Face painting   Inflatable games   Obstacle course   TU's Rock Band will provide music prior to game   Military affiliated tailgate (open to all veterans and individuals affiliated with the military) The TU Military Transition Football team will kick off at noon against St. Thomas University.   Prior to kick-off\, there will be a swearing-in ceremony for all TU students joining the service   Presentation of colors by the JROTC at Thomas County Central   Half-time performance by Thomasville High School Marching Bulldogs
