And we look for opportunities to give back in meaningful ways.\n\n \n\nOur History\n\nVyStar was founded in 1952 as the JAX Navy Federal Credit Union at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. Our goal was to serve the financial needs of military service members\, civil service employees and their families. Since then\, we have adapted to changes in the banking industry\, from adopting our first computerized accounting system in 1966 to opening our first ATM in 1982. Throughout\, we kept our commitment to providing excellent service to our members. In 2002\, we became VyStar Credit Union. Today\, we have grown to become one of the largest credit unions in the United States\, serving more than 825\,000 members nationwide.
