Chehaw's Upland Wildlife Festival invites you to spend the day celebrating all things that make up WILD GEORGIA. Whether your an outdoorsman, a conservationist, or just looking for a unique day outside with the family, this festival brings Wildlife and Education together for one unforgettable event.
Live Animal Presentations:
- Reptile Shows by Jason Clark at Southeast Reptile Rescue, including VENOMOUS snakes
- Bird of Prey FLIGHT shows presented by EarthQuest
- LIVE controlled burn demonstration using Drone Technology
- Tree Climbing Demonstration for Red Cockaded Woodpecker Insert by GA DNR Wildlife Biologist
- VENOMOUS snake safe handling and tubing demonstrations at the Chehaw Rattlesnake Display

Conservation Lecture Series at the Creekside Education Center:
Lectures and panel discussions are for the public, aimed to keep you informed and provide resources
- Water Conservation & Quality presented by Flint RiverKeeper
- Maximizing & Maintaining Habitat Biodiversity through controlled burns with a panel of field experts
- Coexisting Safely with Snakes, an emphasis on Venomous snakes and resources with a panel of field experts including Georgia DNR's State Herpetologist
- Quail Management & Best Practices with panel of field experts, ending with a Bird Dog Demonstration
- Coexisting with Bats presented by GA DNR's state Bat Biologist, join us after for LIVE bat trapping demonstrating field techniques and marking
Get Up-close and Personal in the Wildlife Village: Rattlesnakes, Birds of Prey, Reptiles, Bats, Bees, Butterflies, Quail, Native Plant Displays & Sale, Fish, Red Cockaded Woodpeckers, nest Boxes, creatures of the swamp and more!
The Kids Zone keeps Children engaged and active: Archery Zone, Bird Box Building, Native Plant Seed Bar, Tie Dye T-shirts, Bounce Houses, Face painting, and more!
Artisan and Vendor Alley: Glass Blowing (preregistration required), Unique jewelry, Art, Hand Poured Candles, Baked Goods, Food Trucks, plus Beer & Wine!
