Job Summary
Spark Thomasville is a donor-supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering underestimated entrepreneurs through business coaching, training, and access to capital. By providing the education, resources, and support needed to grow sustainable businesses, we help small business owners create jobs, build generational wealth, and strengthen Thomasville’s local economy. Through community partnerships and generous donor contributions, we foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem that drives lasting economic impact.
Responsibilities:
Outreach, Communication and Training
Assist with entrepreneur and alumni outreach, recruiting and training
Confirm attendance for training sessions and meetings
Create and distribute promotional materials for programs and events
Get media content promoting entrepreneurs, while engaging with followers and responding to comments
Maintain and update Spark Thomasville’s calendar and send monthly event updates to stakeholders
Help secure new sponsorships and partnerships
Meetings and Records Management:
Set up for entrepreneur trainings, board and committee meetings—including AV setup, agendas, and materials
Organize and maintain digital and physical records of Spark Stories, meetings, committee and historical documents
Maintain alumni engagement data, including business data tracking
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience in social media management, event coordination, research, or records management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media platforms
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support Spark Thomasville’s mission
Ability to travel locally to training sites and local businesses
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
