Imagine Studio Instructor

Position Summary: The Imagine Studio Instructor is responsible for planning and leading hands on, creative activities for Imagine Studio students, ages 2-5. This position requires a highly energetic and organized person who cares deeply about creating meaningful studio experiences for young learners. Class meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for two hours each day.

Position is part-time, three days a week, for a maximum of eight hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and delivers all Imagine Studio activities and classroom experiences that reflect the mission and vision of the Center, with final plans approved by the Director of Programs and Engagement.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for Imagine Studio parents and families.
  • Provide content and details including studio curriculum, supply lists, snack and activity schedules, timelines, and student norms.
  • Organizes and maintains Imagine Studio space, ensuring cleanliness, organization, safety and opportunity for creative play and artmaking.
  • Consistently communicates with the Programs Coordinator, providing photos and information regarding studio activities.
  • Supports students and families in a way that cultivates a positive, mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Schedule and facilitate all Imagine Studio end of semester exhibitions and/or performances.
  • Provide a supportive and welcoming environment for all Imagine Studio students and families.
  • Track attendance.
  • Assist in day-to-day arrival and dismissal of students with Programs Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Fine Arts, Education, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate messages that will inspire support of Imagine Studio.
  • Friendly, confident, and adept at connecting to others.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with capacity to multitask.
  • Enthusiasm for working as part of the TCA team
  • Ability to make sound independent judgments and help create exceptional educational programs within tight time/budget constraints.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Ability to lift and move supplies up to 25 lbs., and bend or reach.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk during ninety-minute programs.
Compensation: The Imagine Studio Instructor is a part-time hourly position, with compensation ranging from $20-$25 per hour based on previous experience.

As this position involves less than 35 hours per week, it does not provide health or other benefits.
