Quality Inspector- Final Assembly

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Quality Inspector – Final Assembly to join our team in Thomasville, GA. The Quality Inspector will work side by side with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure compliance to Cleaver Brooks’ designs, ASME standards, and customer requirements. Some high-level troubleshooting is sometimes required to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer.

Job Location: Thomasville, GA

Essential functions:

  • Inspect material (raw material, purchase parts, work-in-process, etc.) for conformance to drawings/specifications.
  • Take corrective action, where necessary, when nonconformance is found.
  • Educate and instruct plant personnel in required Quality Assurance processes/procedures and confirm these procedures are maintained.
  • Assist with disposition and documentation of nonconforming material.
  • Consult with plant management and personnel on better operational procedures to improve overall safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Problem solving/root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Function as an information source for all personnel when quality issues arise.
  • Participate in ISO and ASME audits (both internal and external).
  • Complete ASME Data Reports, as required.
  • Assist with calibration schedules and procedures for critical gauges/equipment.

Basic Requirements:

Experience: 

  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing facility
  • Prefer to have experience reading mechanical drawings and/or wiring diagrams
  • Microsoft Office and ERP experience a plus

Working Conditions

  • Work performed in both office and manufacturing floor environments, including exposure to welding, machining, and fabrication operations.
  • Exposure to moderately disagreeable conditions or minor hazards; proper PPE required.
  • Limited physical demands; involves routine movement and light handling of materials.
