Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator position provides volunteer recruiting, screening, training, scheduling, supervising and recognizing volunteers to support HHH’s programs, events and mission. This role serves as the primary contact for volunteers and ensures a positive, productive volunteer experience. Additionally, this role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, alone and with a team, working in tandem with the Head Instructor in accordance with Hands & Hearts for Horses policies and procedures.
The volunteer position includes administrative and management responsibilities, volunteer recruiting and screening, volunteer scheduling, volunteer recognition and retention, volunteer training, special events and projects.
Preferred knowledge: Associate's degree or above, experience at a therapeutic riding center, experience as a volunteer coordinator, proficiency with volunteer management software.
Mandatory Requirements: Be 18 years of age, hold a valid driver's license and provide reliable transportation. Be consistent and reliable. Complete and pass a background check and urine drug test. Strong computer and technology skills. Personal philosophical alignment with the mission statement and goals of HHH. Provide a minimum of 3 non-relative, professional references.
