The School of Mahj

Melanie Johnson is the founder and friendly face behind the School of Mahj, launched in 2025 to share her passion for American mahjong with new players. She is a member of the Mahj Life Instructors Guild, a network of mahjong teachers committed to the highest standards of instruction using National Mah Jongg League rules. She lives in Thomasville and teaches public and private American and Hong Kong Old Style mahjong classes.
