Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Membership Manager to join our team. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing and growing our membership base. The ideal candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends as required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
• Manage membership records and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote membership benefits and encourage participation in Chamber events.
• Assist in the development of membership materials and communications.
• Respond to member inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Generate reports on membership trends and activities for senior management.
• Provide cross-support for all Chamber programming, events, and office administration as required.
• Organize, communicate with, and manage Chamber volunteers and committees as required.

 

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Candidate must be comfortable initiating phone conversations.
• Excellent writing ability for creating effective member communications.
• Must be versed in phone etiquette and customer service.
• Sales or marketing experience preferred.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Canva, Outlook.
• Public speaking or presentation experience preferred.
• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management or related field preferred.
