The home and/or homes that you will work are four (4) person Residential homes, two (2) person and/or independent CLS homes that requires up to forty hours per week this includes weekends and holidays. This job requires a person who can produce a valid driver's license, auto insurance, Social Security card, High School Diploma or GED, and have reliable transportation. You will also be required to lift fifty (50) pounds independently, if need be, and be able to pass a state and national background check. You will work with an array of individuals with developmental disabilities assisting them with skills such as bathing, feeding, grooming, dressing, training on various goals and taking the individuals out in the community to help enhance their socialization skills and increasing their opportunities to make friends and learn about their neighborhood. You will occasionally have to correct/redirect inappropriate behaviors of the individuals and report when other co-workers aren't fulfilling their duties. You will monitor individuals’ day to day routines to alert nurse and supervisor if anything seems out of the ordinary. You will document all daily progress in Therap, and all documentation must be factual and filled out to the best of your knowledge. You will also be required to do some household chores such as cleaning, cooking, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing dishes, ironing and other duties as assigned by supervisor. You must report to work on time when scheduled and call at least four (4) hours in advance to your supervisor if you are not able to make it in for your scheduled shift due to illness or immediate family emergency.
